Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and onion, if desired. Place the top half of the bun on top.
  • Serve the burgers immediately and enjoy!
