Ingredients

  • 1 can of jackfruit
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime

Instructions

  • 1. Drain and rinse the jackfruit.
  • 2. Cut the onion into thin slices and mince the garlic.
  • 3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 4. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • 5. Add the jackfruit, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet.
  • 6. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • 8. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the jackfruit is tender.
