Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups water, sugar, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher.
- Stir in lemon juice and 2 cups cold water.
- Serve over ice.
