Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and condiments of your choice

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  • Serve the homborgar with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal.
