Ingredients

  • 2 cups masa harina
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the masa harina and warm water until a dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a disc.
  • Place a spoonful of shredded cheese, ground turkey, onions, cilantro, tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos onto each disc.
  • Fold the disc in half and seal the edges by pressing them together.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each pupusa for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Serve the pupusas with salsa and sour cream on the side.
