Ingredients
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground turkey
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the masa harina and warm water until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a disc.
- Place a spoonful of shredded cheese, ground turkey, onions, cilantro, tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos onto each disc.
- Fold the disc in half and seal the edges by pressing them together.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each pupusa for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Serve the pupusas with salsa and sour cream on the side.
