Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and any other desired toppings. Place the top half of the bun on top.
