Ingredients
- 2 cups guayaba fruit, peeled and seeded
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the guayaba fruit, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cooled guayaba mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or individual serving dishes.
- Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
