Ingredients

  • 2 cups guayaba fruit, peeled and seeded
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine the guayaba fruit, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the cooled guayaba mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or individual serving dishes.
  • Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!
