Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add the sugar and stir to combine. Continue to heat until the mixture is hot but not bubbling.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Add the flour and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
