Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar, butter, and garlic until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three parts, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
