Ingredients
- 1 pound oyster mushrooms
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Clean the oyster mushrooms and remove any dirt or debris.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, dried basil, and dried parsley.
- Dip each mushroom into the buttermilk, then coat it in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere the flour to the mushroom.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
- Fry the mushrooms in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the mushrooms from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
