Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Slowly pour the sugar mixture into the hot milk, whisking constantly.

  • Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool completely.
  • Once the mixture has cooled, pour it into a shallow dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  • Once the mixture is firm, shape it into small balls or any desired shape.
  • Roll the shaped mixture in bread crumbs, making sure to coat it evenly.
  • In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the coated mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove the fried milk delights from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
