Ingredients

  • 1 lb. flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8-10 flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced steak, bell peppers, and onion.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the spice mixture over the steak and vegetables, and toss to coat.
  • Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak and vegetables to the skillet, and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  • Warm the tortillas in the microwave or on a griddle.
  • Serve the fajita mixture on the warm tortillas, and top with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa, if desired.
