Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the oregano, basil, salt, pepper, crushed tomatoes, and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Spoon a layer of the meat sauce into the bottom of the crock pot. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with a portion of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt. Serve hot and enjoy!
