Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup ground pork
  • 1/4 cup chopped shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour and warm water to make a dough.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced ginger, minced garlic, sugar, salt, white pepper, and chopped green onions.
  • Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a thin circle.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of the dough circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
  • Steam the dumplings in a steamer for about 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
