Ingredients
- 2 cups of rice
- 4 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup of peas
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- 2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- 3. Add the rice to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
- 4. Drain the rice and set aside.
- 5. In a separate pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
- 6. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
- 7. Add the diced carrot, bell pepper, and peas to the pan and cook until tender.
- 8. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir to combine.
- 9. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and turmeric.
- 10. Pour the sauce over the rice and vegetables and stir to coat evenly.
- 11. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- 12. Serve hot and enjoy!
