Ingredients
- 8 slices of rye bread
- 1 pound of thinly sliced corned beef
- 1 cup of sauerkraut, drained
- 8 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup of Russian dressing
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
- Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on four slices of bread.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.
- Spread butter on the outsides of each sandwich.
- Place sandwiches on the griddle or skillet and cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
