Ingredients

  • 8 slices of rye bread
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced corned beef
  • 1 cup of sauerkraut, drained
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup of Russian dressing
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  • Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on four slices of bread.
  • Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.
  • Spread butter on the outsides of each sandwich.
  • Place sandwiches on the griddle or skillet and cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
