Perfect for a weekend treat or a special occasion, this recipe ensures a juicy and flavorful experience, topped off with fresh veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, preferably 80% lean
  • 8 slices crispy bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 slices red onion
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • Optional: pickles and coleslaw for extra crunch

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into thin patties.

  3. 3

Grill the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Top with cheese during the last minute to melt.

  4. 4

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.

  5. 5

Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and Dijon mustard to create the sauce.

  7. 7

Assemble the burgers: spread the sauce on the bottom bun, layer with a patty, bacon, tomato slice, onion slice, lettuce and optional pickles or coleslaw.

  8. 8

Top with the remaining bun and serve immediately.

Chef's tip

For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding grilled onions or jalapeños. Serve with a side of sweet potato fries for a complete meal.
