Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots), sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.

  2. 2

Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Add sliced chicken, stir-frying until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

Remove chicken and set aside. In the same pan, add vegetables and stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

Return chicken to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  6. 6

Stir everything together, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until flavors meld.

  7. 7

Serve immediately garnished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, if desired.

Chef's tip

For vegetarians, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh. Adjust soy sauce to taste preferences for a lighter or stronger flavor.
