Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of spinach
  • 200 grams of paneer
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil

Instructions

  • 1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and blanch it in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and blend it into a smooth puree.
  • 2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • 4. Add chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  • 5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • 6. Add the spinach puree and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 7. Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the spinach mixture. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • 8. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
  • 9. Serve hot with roti or rice.
