Ingredients
- 500g pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened.
- Add the salt, pepper, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese, and stir until melted.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced ham, frozen peas, sliced mushrooms, and cheese sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
