Ingredients

  • 500g pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened.
  • Add the salt, pepper, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese, and stir until melted.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced ham, frozen peas, sliced mushrooms, and cheese sauce.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
