Ingredients
- 4 jalapeno peppers
- 2 bell peppers
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. Cut the jalapeno peppers and bell peppers in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes.
- 3. Place the peppers and onion on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika.
- 4. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the peppers are soft and slightly charred.
- 5. Remove the peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
- 6. In a blender or food processor, combine the roasted peppers, onion, garlic, water, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- 7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- 8. Transfer the sauce to a jar or container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- 9. Serve the jalapeno bell sauce with your favorite dishes.
