Ingredients

  • 4 jalapeno peppers
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • 2. Cut the jalapeno peppers and bell peppers in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes.
  • 3. Place the peppers and onion on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika.
  • 4. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the peppers are soft and slightly charred.
  • 5. Remove the peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • 6. In a blender or food processor, combine the roasted peppers, onion, garlic, water, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  • 7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • 8. Transfer the sauce to a jar or container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • 9. Serve the jalapeno bell sauce with your favorite dishes.
