Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bread
- Lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the chicken breasts with the olive oil, then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Toast the bread slices and spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
- Layer the chicken, lettuce, and tomato on one slice of bread, then top with another slice of bread.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make another sandwich.
- Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
