Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, chilli powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer the chilli for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
