Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of meat sauce and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the lasagna is hot and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
