Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix together cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until well combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into a greased stiletto-shaped cake pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until it just begins to boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Let ganache cool for 10-15 minutes.
