Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2-3 green chilies, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, julienned
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornstarch, egg, salt, and pepper to make a batter. Dip the marinated chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry until golden brown. Set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat some oil and sauté garlic, ginger, green chilies, bell pepper, and onion until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce and toss until well coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
