- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp vegan butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- 2. In a blender or food processor, blend the cashews, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, and turmeric until finely ground.
- 3. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
- 4. In a saucepan, melt the vegan butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, until bubbly.
- 5. Gradually whisk in the almond milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
- 6. Stir in the cashew mixture until well combined.
