Ingredients
- 1 kg octopus
- 2 onions
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- 1. Clean and wash the octopus thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the octopus into small pieces.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions.
- 4. Saute the onions until golden brown.
- 5. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- 6. Add chopped tomatoes and green chilies.
- 7. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
- 8. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala.
- 9. Mix well and cook for a minute.
- 10. Add the octopus pieces and mix well.
- 11. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the octopus is tender.
- 12. Add lemon juice and salt to taste.
- 13. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 14. Serve hot with rice or roti.
