Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the bacon grease and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and bacon grease. Toss to coat the spaghetti in the bacon grease.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and pour in the egg and cheese mixture. Toss the spaghetti until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles.
- Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Serve the carbonara immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
