Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
- Continue cooking, without stirring, until mixture reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter.
- Add crispy rice cereal and stir until well coated.
- Press mixture into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Pour melted chocolate over cereal mixture and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle with sprinkles and let cool until chocolate hardens.
- Cut into squares and serve.
