Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 lb rice noodles
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1 cup fried tofu, sliced
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  • In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the crab meat and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  • Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions.
  • To serve, place a portion of noodles in a bowl and ladle the soup over it.
  • Top with cilantro, lime wedges, bean sprouts, green onions, basil, mint, dill, fried tofu, and shrimp.
  • Enjoy!
