Ingredients
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 8 cups water
- 1 lb rice noodles
- 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 cup chopped fresh mint
- 1 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1 cup fried tofu, sliced
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the crab meat and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions.
- To serve, place a portion of noodles in a bowl and ladle the soup over it.
- Top with cilantro, lime wedges, bean sprouts, green onions, basil, mint, dill, fried tofu, and shrimp.
