  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, carrot, hot sauce, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat vegetable oil and butter over medium heat.
  • Add flour and whisk until smooth.
  • Add hot sauce, honey, ketchup, and water. Whisk until smooth.
  • Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened.
