- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, carrot, hot sauce, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat vegetable oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk until smooth.
- Add hot sauce, honey, ketchup, and water. Whisk until smooth.
- Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened.
- Add cooked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
