Ingredients
- 2 cups strong coffee
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 package Maria biscuits
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the coffee and sugar. Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter and egg. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Dip each biscuit into the coffee mixture and layer them in a square dish, alternating with the custard mixture.
- Repeat the layers until you run out of biscuits and custard, ending with a layer of custard on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder for decoration.
