Ingredients
- 1 whole trout
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill), for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Clean and gut the trout, removing any scales and innards.
- Pat the trout dry with paper towels.
- Rub the trout with olive oil, inside and out.
- Season the trout with salt and pepper, inside and out.
- Stuff the cavity of the trout with lemon slices and minced garlic.
- Place the trout on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Bake the trout in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
