Ingredients

  • 1 whole trout
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill), for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Clean and gut the trout, removing any scales and innards.
  • Pat the trout dry with paper towels.
  • Rub the trout with olive oil, inside and out.
  • Season the trout with salt and pepper, inside and out.
  • Stuff the cavity of the trout with lemon slices and minced garlic.
  • Place the trout on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Bake the trout in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
