Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  • Add the sugar and stir to combine. Continue to heat the mixture until it is hot but not bubbling.
