- 1 block of tofu
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of ginger
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
- 2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- 3. Add the tofu cubes to the pan and cook until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside.
- 4. In the same pan, add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- 5. Add the bell peppers to the pan and cook until they are slightly softened.
- 6. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.
- 7. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the vegetables and stir until it thickens.
- 8. Add the tofu back to the pan and stir until it is coated in the sauce.
- 9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 10. Serve the Asian hot tofu dish over rice or noodles.
