Ingredients
- 1 cup of semolina
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of ghee
- 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup of chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup of rose water
- 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
- Add the semolina and cook until golden brown, stirring constantly.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the water and sugar and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
- Slowly add the milk to the semolina mixture, stirring continuously.
- Add the sugar syrup, rose water, and cardamom powder to the pan.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and almonds on top.
- Let it set for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Cut into squares or diamond shapes and serve.
