Ingredients

  • 1 cup of semolina
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of ghee
  • 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup of chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup of rose water
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder

Instructions

  • In a large pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
  • Add the semolina and cook until golden brown, stirring constantly.
  • In a separate saucepan, combine the water and sugar and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Slowly add the milk to the semolina mixture, stirring continuously.
  • Add the sugar syrup, rose water, and cardamom powder to the pan.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and almonds on top.
  • Let it set for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Cut into squares or diamond shapes and serve.
