Fettuccine with Smoked Salmon in White Wine Cream Sauce

About this recipe

This sophisticated fettuccine dish features tender smoked salmon, fresh spinach, and a lusciously creamy white wine sauce. Aromatic garlic and a hint of chili bring an exciting flavor profile, perfect for a weeknight treat or a special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 200g fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced
  • 100g fresh spinach
  • 120g smoked salmon, sliced
  • 120ml dry white wine
  • 240ml heavy cream
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Cook the fettuccine in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; sauté garlic and chili until fragrant.

  3. 3

Add the spinach and cook until wilted.

  4. 4

Stir in the smoked salmon, cooking briefly for 1 minute.

  5. 5

Pour in the white wine and simmer until reduced by half.

  6. 6

Add cream and Parmesan to the skillet, cooking until the sauce thickens.

  7. 7

Season with salt and pepper. Toss in the cooked fettuccine until coated.

  8. 8

Serve hot, with lemon wedges if desired.

Chef's tip

Feel free to adjust the amount of chili for more or less heat. Pair with a crisp white wine to complement the dish.
