Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Whole grain burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  • 1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
  • 2. Add the cooked quinoa, chopped bell pepper, onion, parsley, almond flour, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  • 3. Form the mixture into burger patties.
  • 4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
