- 1 block of extra-firm tofu
- 1 cup of unsweetened plant-based milk
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Oil for frying

Press and drain the tofu, and cut into desired pieces.

Combine plant-based milk and apple cider vinegar in a bowl to make vegan buttermilk and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Dip each tofu piece in the flour mixture, then in the vegan buttermilk, and again in the flour mixture.
