Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 4 packs of ramen noodles
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 cup of water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
- Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth, water, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the pot.
- Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions.
- Once the broth has simmered for 10 minutes, add the chicken back to the pot and let cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Divide the cooked ramen noodles between 4 bowls.
- Ladle the broth and chicken over the noodles.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
