  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 4 packs of ramen noodles
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the chicken broth, water, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the pot.
  • Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Once the broth has simmered for 10 minutes, add the chicken back to the pot and let cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Divide the cooked ramen noodles between 4 bowls.
  • Ladle the broth and chicken over the noodles.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
