Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Place a ball of ground beef onto the skillet and use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty.
  • Season the patty with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the patty for about 2-3 minutes, until the bottom is crispy and browned.
  • Flip the patty and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the other side is crispy and browned.
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of the patty and allow it to melt.
  • Remove the patty from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining portions of ground beef.
  • While the patties are cooking, cook the bacon in a separate skillet until crispy.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the skillet or grill.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom bun, followed by bacon, lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Place the top bun on the burger and serve immediately.
