Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, white wine, parsley, basil, and red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Drain the linguine and add it to the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss the linguine with the sauce until well coated.
