Ingredients
- 1 kg pork belly
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Score the pork belly skin with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts about 1 cm apart.
- Rub the salt, baking powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper all over the pork belly, making sure to get it into the cuts.
- Place the pork belly on a wire rack set over a baking tray, with the skin side up.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C (350°F) and continue roasting for another 1 hour or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
