Ingredients

  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef
  • 1 package rice noodles
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, Thai basil, mint)
  • Bean sprouts
  • Sriracha sauce
  • Hoison sauce

Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring beef broth to a simmer.
  • Add onion, garlic, and ginger to the broth. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar to the broth. Stir well.
  • Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Thinly slice beef and divide among serving bowls.
  • Pour hot broth over the beef in each bowl.
  • Serve with rice noodles, lime wedges, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and sauces on the side.
