Ingredients
- 1 cup rose water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1 cup chopped almonds
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the rose water and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Cut the Persian delight into small squares and sprinkle with chopped pistachios and almonds.
- Serve and enjoy!
