Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a 9-inch pie dish.
- Place one sheet of puff pastry over the meat mixture, trimming any excess. Use a fork to prick holes in the pastry.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and cooked through.
