Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add onion, green pepper, mushrooms, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes.
- Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
