Ingredients

  • 1 pound macaroni
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth.
  • Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the cheddar cheese, Gruyere cheese, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried mustard, and cayenne pepper. Stir until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the cooked macaroni and chopped lobster meat to the sauce. Stir until well combined.
