Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the lid and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the lamb is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
